WORK DESCRIPTION

  • Working with marketing members to develop and manage communication strategies for Hideo Kojima and the Kojima Productions brand
  • Coordinating and arranging live and virtual events (press interviews, tours, Tokyo Game Show, etc.) with press, influencers, and promotional partners
  • Serving as a liason for all press, influencers, and promotional partners
  • Building and executing communication campaigns from announcement until launch to raise awareness of Kojima Productions products
  • Working with outside agencies to ensure all strategies are consistent globally
  • Identifying trends, both local and global, to involve Kojima Productions in a wider discussion circle beyond just games
  • Overseeing the distribution of promotional assets from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, creation, approvals, and publication
  • Creating communication copies for press-related campaign materials such as press releases, QA documents, internal newsletters, etc.
  • Working closely with team members and agencies outside of Tokyo to ensure global consistency in all outbound promotional activities
  • Assisting social media/website managers in developing content ideas for use on official social media channels
  • Providing regular reports on results of owned media campaigns

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of experience in public relations. Video games or entertainment industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent project management and PR planning skills
  • Strong connections with press and influencers in the game and entertainment industry
  • Familiarity with press and consumer interviews
  • Passion for gaming and entertainment
  • Strong verbal, written, and report writing skills
  • Native level Japanese language skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Business level or above English verbal skills (must be able to communicate smoothly)
  • Familiarity with PR measurement tools such as Photoshop, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
  • Flexible working hours to adjust to overseas teams
  • A positive and professional attitude
