2025 has been a big year for all of us at KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, not only did we celebrate our 10th anniversary, and the launch of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH but also we had the opportunity to meet and connect with fans around the globe. The DEATH STRANDING WORLD STRAND TOUR 2 brought us all closer together, we hope you enjoy this recap of our journey.

1. LOS ANGELES

The tour kicked off in style at the Summer Games Fest at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, fans at the event saw the first live gameplay footage of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH and watched a panel with Hideo Kojima, Woodkid, Shioli Kutsuna, and Troy Baker. 

2. SYDNEY

Hot on the heels of LA, the tour’s next stop was in Sydney where Hideo was joined by legendary film director George Miller, who also appears in DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH as Tarman. At a sold out panel as part of the Sydney Film Festival Hideo and George discussed films, games, and kangaroos! 

3. TOKYO

After Australia, DEATH STRANDING headed for home. In Tokyo Hideo was joined by Kenjiro Tsuda, Gen Hoshino, Mamoru Oshii, and Usada Pekora for behind the scenes reveals, cast discussions and pop-up shops, we celebrated the release of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. 

4. PARIS

In Paris Hideo Kojima, Yoji Shinkawa and Woodkid paid tribute to the fans of the game at an exhibition dedicated to artists inspired by DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. On stage at a panel hosted by Julien Chièze, Hideo Kojima, Yoji Shinkawa and Woodkid discussed the art and word of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH.

5. LONDON

Not to be outdone, in London Hideo Kojima was joined again by Geoff Keighley and surprise guests Lea Seydoux and Norman Reedus for a night of music. Caroline Polachek took to the stage to debut her song On The Beach, and CHVRCHES followed for their first live performance in over two years!

6. SEOUL

In Seoul, Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa hosted an intimate event for lucky fans. Attendees were treated to behind the scenes stories and a fan Q&A session, as well as a raffle and trivia quiz with fabulous DEATH STRANDING prizes! 

7. TAIPEI

Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa took to the stage again in Taipei where they were joined by surprise guest Kevin Ko who features as the Ghost Hunter in DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. The trio discussed games, films, and all things DEATH STRANDING.

8. HONG KONG

In Hong Kong, Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa opened a pop-up shop where fans could grab DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH merchandise. In the evening the duo hosted a fan event where attendees could ask questions and listen to them discuss the journey of the development of the game. 

9. SHANGHAI

In Shanghai a KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS pop-up shop gave fans the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise, and a special exhibition at BiliBili World drew back the curtain on the story of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. In the afternoon Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa were joined by Shion Wakayama for a special stage discussion.

10. RIYADH

At the 2025 eSports World Cup in Riyadh Hideo Kojima was joined for a fireside chat by Nicolas Winding Refn, who plays Heartman, and as a surprise guest his daughter Lola! The pair discussed creativity, the process of creation and shared their advice for young creators

11. SAO PAULO

At the Brasil Games Show in Sao Paulo Hideo Kojima was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He also held a press conference and judged a DEATH STRANDING cosplay contest!

12. LUCCA

At Lucca, in Italy Hideo and Yoji held a panel featuring Luca Marinelli, who plays Neil Vana, and Alissa Jung, who plays Lucy. Cosplayers took to the streets for a DEATH STRANDING celebration!
