About Hiring Policies

Q1: Do you do any internships?

A: We don't have any internship programs at the moment, but if we start one, we will be sure to announce it!

Q2: Are you accepting recent graduates?

A: Yes, we hire both recent graduates as well as mid-career professionals. You can apply through the Careers page on our Website. If you are a recent graduate and do not have any work experience, you do not need to submit a CV. However, we encourage you to send us a portfolio that demonstrates your skills.

Q3: I have applied before in the past, but can I apply again?

A: Yes. We ask that you wait at least six (6) months before submitting your next application. Showcase any skills that you may have improved on since your last application!

Q4: Can I apply for more than one position?

A: Yes. Please apply separately for each position.

Q5: Does education level have any impact on hiring?

A: No, it does not. We hire people of various backgrounds:  vocational, technical, university (undergraduate, masters, doctorate), etc. Regardless of your academic background, we encourage you to showcase your skills and your ambitions for what you would like to do at KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS!

Q6: I live in Japan but have foreign citizenship. Can I still apply?

A: Yes. KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS is committed to hiring globally! We hire regardless of nationality and welcome applications from all across the world.

Q7: I currently live overseas outside of Japan. Can I apply?

A: Yes, you are welcome to apply, but we are currently not offering overseas remote work. You will be required to relocate to Japan as part of our job offer, where KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS will provide visa support and assist with your living arrangements!

Q8: I don't speak Japanese (nor English). Can I still apply?

A: No, Japanese or English language skills (one or the other, at least) is a prerequisite for hiring.

About the Screening Process

Q1: How long does the screening process take after the documents have been submitted?

A: The process can take a week to one (1) month. Due to the high volume of applications that we receive, we will only contact those who have passed the screening process.

Q2: What is the screening process like?

A: The typical screening process is as follows. 
Document screening ⇒ First interview ⇒ Second Interview (It may take 1 to 3 months until a formal offer is made.) 
*The number of interviews may vary. You may also be asked to submit an assignment 
*Only those who pass the document screening will be contacted for an interview

Q3: How do I apply?

A: You can apply from the Careers page on our Website. Please use the Apply Now button on the job description page for the position you want to apply for.

Q4: Do you accept applications and documents by mail?

A: No, we only accept applications and documents online.

About Company Policies

Q1: What are vacations and holidays like?

A: You will get the following days off: Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, summer vacation (5 days), paid leave, congratulatory/condolence leave, etc.

Q2: Are there any training available after joining the company?

A: Typically, your training will consist of OJT (on-the-job training), but we do offer workshops and other learning opportunities as well.

Q3: Do you offer remote work options or shorter work hours?

A: We support work styles based on your needs in special cases such as family circumstances. Please include this information on your application and we can discuss it in detail during your interview.

Q4: Is there support for maternity/paternity leave?

A: Yes, we have a maternity and childcare/paternity leave system. After taking childcare leave, we offer a work style balancing both caring for your family and work. More of our staff have taken childcare leave in recent years, including those as fathers! We also offer a financial bonus as a congratulatory gift.

Q5: Are there any activities outside of work?

A: We have in-house club activities where we encourage our staff to interact and be active outside of work. We also offer in-house fitness classes and language classes.

Q6: What are the benefits like?

A: We offer various insurances, transportation expenses, salary revision (once a year), medical checkups, congratulatory/condolence money, etc. For our permanent employees, we also have a corporate defined contribution pension plan and incentives. In addition, there are free drinks (beverages from the vending machines) and free massage rooms.
