Interpretation & Translation (EN-JA)

 As a member of the Communication Support Team, you will be working to provide a linguistic bridge between English and Japanese speakers. Your work will involve interpretation and translation, in addition to various tasks pivotal in promoting further globalization within the creative studio.

WORK DESCRIPTION

• Interpretation and translation in English and Japanese

  Examples:
  ・Interpretation of internal meetings, meetings with overseas partners, etc. (Done either consecutively/simultaneously via in-person or remotely within the office)
  ・Providing communication support to staff who cannot speak Japanese or English
  ・Translation of internal announcements, manuals, etc.

• Assisting staff relocating from overseas to Japan

  …etc.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING

• Work experience of three (3) or more years as a translator, interpreter and/or similar positions
• Native-level proficiency in Japanese and/or English
• Possess effective communication skills
• Experience in performing simultaneous interpretation

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Likes video games and/or interested in how games are made
• Previous work experience in gaming, IT or entertainment industries
• Previous experience in "bridging" roles
• Familiar with DEI and internationally-minded initiatives
• Workplace experience in multitasking
• Experience in providing relocation support to people newly arriving in Japan
